What Is Xeomin®?
Xeomin® is an FDA-approved cosmetic injectable similar to Botox® in terms of its ingredients and purpose. Xeomin® has been thoroughly purified to remove proteins, so it is almost a pure neurotoxin to inject into muscles to diminish and even remove severe lines such as scowl lines, frown lines, and deep worry lines across the forehead. Xeomin® was originally introduced to treat conditions such as severe spasms in the neck muscles (cervical dystonia) and certain eye muscle issues.

Preparing for Xeomin®
Preparation for Xeomin® is similar to other injectable cosmetic procedures. We will begin by preparing your skin, which should be free of any makeup or moisturizer. Preparation may include numbing if you are sensitive to needles. The needles are tiny and barely noticeable, however.
Recovery from Xeomin®
Shortly after treatment, facial muscles relax and lines and wrinkles soften. Eyebrows lift and eyes widen to reclaim that youthful, vital look. And although final results are seen in a few days, patients are asked to return to the office about one week after treatment so Dr. Taylor can monitor the effects, possibly injecting a small additional amount to “tweak” the final results and to ultimately ensure complete patient satisfaction.
Since results are temporary, patients usually return for follow-up Botox® Cosmetic and Xeomin® treatments every three to four months. With long-term use, the effects of this product may last even longer, allowing for longer intervals between treatments.
How Much Do Xeomin® Injections Cost?
The cost of Xeomin® injections is based on the targeted areas for treatment as well as the number of injections used to treat the wrinkles. When you come for your consultation, we can go over the costs and our payment options which include cash, checks, and most major credit cards. We also offer financing through CareCredit®. If Xeomin® is used to treat headaches, your insurance plan may cover the injections.
